atrial fibrillation ablation

Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib) is the most common heart irregularity or cardiac arrhythmia, affecting an estimated 2.5 million Americans. Current estimates suggest that the prevalence of A-Fib will reach 4 million by 2030 and climb to 5.6 million by 2050. Although A-Fib is not usually life-threatening, it can be very debilitating and lead to serious complications.

The Atrial Fibrillation Clinic at Aspirus Heart and Vascular (AHV) offers a full spectrum of treatment options for patients diagnosed with A-Fib, including atrial fibrillation ablation. Also known as Maze, AHV is one of fewer than 50 sites in the United States offering both the full atrial fibrillation ablation procedure and the minimally invasive Maze option, and also is a leader in the surgical treatment of A-Fib.

The Valve Center at Aspirus Heart & Vascular Institute is the only resource in North Central Wisconsin dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of valvular heart disease.
